The Filipino Architect inspiring a wave of bamboo education... Meet Jed Michael De Guzman!
The first thing Jed said when I spontaneously interviewed him:
"I won't say much about me, because the focus should be about the bamboo... we go where the bamboo is."
And that is what lead him and his team to this Matigsalug community in the mountains of Davao! What you are looking at is an immersive "Bamboo Bootcamp". Back in 2018, Jed found himself in Indonesia on an intensive bamboo training course (Bamboo University). Seeing the value bamboo had for building, community development, and the environment as a whole... Jed came back to the Philippines motivated to share his knowledge!
As stated on the Bamboo Bootcamp website:
"He extends his passion and knowledge of Bamboo to support his advocacy of a sustainable Philippines. He believes that by spreading what he learned means that giving the Filipinos to thrive in more ways than one."
With understanding of propagation, treatment, and strong building techniques... Jed believes bamboo can offer sustainable positive growth here in the Philippines. Him and his team are running "Nine Day bamboo building fundamental workshops". Yes, this is a professional course that will teach

Tina Paner
Filipino singer and actress
In this Philippine name, the family name is Paner.
Kristina "Tina" Paner (born August 1, 1971) is a Filipino actress and singer.
Early life
[edit]At a very young age, Paner's parents noticed her interest in music. Her adoptive parents were prominent celebrities as well. Her father Manny Paner was a well known basketball player while her mother Daisy Romualdez was an actress in the 1960s. Paner is the sister of Danita Paner, who is also a singer.
Career
[edit]Paner's parents convinced her to try singing at the age of nine and the song "Sana" was popularized by her. She tried acting too aged 10 when she starred in the film Sinasamba Kita as the young Lorna Tolentino who played the character role of Nora. She also did a Colgate commercial called "Colgate Winterfresh Gel" with fellow Triplets members Manilyn Reynes and Sheryl Cruz in the 1980s.
By that time her mother, having seen her acting potential, presented Kristina, then only 12, to Regal Films owner and producer Mother Lily Monteverde. She was soon offered a contract. She became a regular in television shows like Musmos Pa Si Boss with Niño Muhlach as the Boss, Ora Engkantada, and Wanbol High. She also became a cast of the youth-oriented variety show That'
