Albert Einstein: Creator & Rebel
Banesh Hoffmann (1906–1986)was educated at Oxford and Princeton and is professor emeritus of mathematics at Queens College of the City University of New York. In 1936 and 1937, he collaborated with Albert Einstein and Leopold Infeld on a fundamental contribution to the theory of relativity. In 1969, Dr. Hoffmann was made the Honorary Patron of the Tensor Society of Great Britain. He was awarded first prize by the Gravity Research Foundation in 1964, and recently received a patent for an Orthopedic Alphabet for the teaching of reading.
Helen Dukas (1896–1982) was Albert Einstein’s secretary. She coauthored Einstein: Creator and Rebel and co-edited Albert Einstein: The Human Side, both with Banesh Hoffman. Dukas was one of two trustees chosen by Einstein to hold the literary rights to all of his manuscripts, copyrights, publication rights, royalties, and royalty agreements, and she lived in Princeton, New Jersey, until her death in 1982.
Wanda McCaddon (d. 2023) narrated well over six hundred titles for major audiobook publishers, sometimes with the pseudonym Nadia May or Donada Peters. She earned the prestigious Audio Award for best narration and numerous Earphones Awards. She was named a Golden Voice by AudioFile magazine.
