How did you decide that banking would be your career?
Actually I don’t think I sat anywhere to decide that banking would be my career. It was far away from my own plan. I had planned to be in the academics . Actually my plan was to study to the level where I would get a PhD and ultimately become a university professor. I love to teach and to read. I just loved the life on campus, the environment and I loved the fact that you could be intellectual, argue and debate; that was the life l envisaged. But along the line l finished from school and got a job, the reality on ground made me to think of other options. I discovered that it would take me a long time to make it to the top If stayed in the academics or in the civil service. I therefore started to retrain myself in other areas. I picked up an MBA, pursued some training in accountancy. Somehow, an opportunity that matched my new skills came up and that was how I found myself in the
